| Märkus: | "Long-term non-progressor“ on laialdasemat gruppi (hinnanguliselt ligi 5% nakkuse kandjatest) haarav mõiste, kelle puhul suudab immuunsüsteem viiruskoormuse alla suruda ja madalana hoida ilma ARV-ravita. Nende seas on väiksem grupp „long-term non-progressors elite controllers“ või lihtsalt „elite controllers“ (hinnanguliselt 0,2-0,5% nakkuse kandjatest), kelle puhul on viiruskoormus alla detekteerimispiiri (enamikel testidel on see 20-40 koopiat ühe milliliitri vere kohta) ning kõrge CD4 rakkude tase (üle 500 raku mikroliitris) lausa kümneid aastaid.
