Definitsioon: veresoonte röntgenkontrastuuring [MED2]
Definitsioon: veresoonte röntgenograafiline uurimine kontrastaine abil [EE-online]
Definitsioon: veresoonte röntgeniuuring, kus verele kontrastaine lisamisega saab veresooned jäädvustada röntgenfilmile [91718]
Märkus: Angiograafiat kasutatakse mitmete veresoonte haiguste diagnoosimiseks ning raviks: *Veresoonte ehituse ja seisundi hindamine *Ateroskleroosist tingitud veresoonte ahenemise diagnoosimine ja ravi *Südame isheemiatõve diagnoosimine ja ravi *Kasvajaid verega varustavate veresoonte esinemise diagnoosimine ja ravi *Aneurüsmide, fistlite diagnoosimine ja ravi *Soonesiseste trombimasside diagnoosimine ja ravi *Emaka müoome toitvate veresoonte sulgemine, mille tagajärjel müoomid kärbuvad [91717]

Kontekst: Radioloogia tervishoiuteenuste osutamine keskhaiglas peab vastama käesoleva määruse §-s 10 kehtestatud nõuetele ning lisaks peavad olema kompuutertomograaf ja angiograaf või leping angiograafia teenuse osutamiseks teise eriarstiabi osutajaga. [89601 § 28-2]

Definitsioon: radiologic examination of vessels after the injection of a contrast agent [TER-PLUS]
Definitsioon: the process of making radiographs to delineate blood or lymphatic vessels within the body, by means of an injected liquid contrast medium [IATE]
Definitsioon: a method of obtaining an X-ray of blood vessels by injecting into them a substance, such as one containing iodine, that shows up as opaque on an X-ray picture [COO]
Märkus: Angiography is used to detect abnormalities or blockages in the blood vessels (called occlusions) throughout the circulatory system and in some organs. The procedure is commonly used to identify atherosclerosis; to diagnose heart disease; to evaluate kidney function and detect kidney cysts or tumors; to detect an aneurysm (an abnormal bulge of an artery that can rupture leading to hemorrhage), tumor, blood clot, or arteriovenous malformations (abnormals tangles of arteries and veins) in the brain; and to diagnose problems with the retina of the eye. It is also used to give surgeons an accurate "map" of the heart prior to open-heart surgery, or of the brain prior to neurosurgery. [TFDM]
Märkus: e.g. venography, splenography, aortography [IATE]
Märkus: Common types include: coronary angiography - to check the heart and nearby blood vessels; cerebral angiography - to check the blood vessels in and around the brain; pulmonary angiography - to check the blood vessels supplying the lungs; renal angiography - to check the blood vessels supplying the kidneys [91723]

Kontekst: Myocarditis or pericarditis must meet at least one of the following criteria: ... - abnormal EKG consistent with myocarditis or pericarditis - positive antigen test on blood (for example, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus pneumoniae) - evidence of myocarditis or pericarditis on histologic examination of heart tissue - 4-fold rise in type-specific antibody with or without isolation of virus from pharynx or feces - pericardial effusion identified by echocardiogram, CT scan, MRI, or angiography [32018D0945]
Märkus: Angiography is commonly used as a synonym of arteriography, despite the fact that while all arteriography (imaging of arteries) is angiography (imaging of blood vessels), not all angiography is arteriography, given that angiography also includes venography (imaging of veins). [TFDM]
